An I.T. professional with over 10 years experience. Many years in development / programming roles, extensively programming in Visual Basic. More recently performed a technical consultancy role for web-based business applications.

Worked all over Europe at customer sites in multi-national project teams. Recent arrival of first child means now seeking a role with less travel.

OTE is the largest Greek telecommunications company.

 

Oracle Configurator consultant. Working as part of team to develop configuration solution for OTE corporate customers purchasing voice products from OTE.

2003-2004       Oracle Configurator Consultant (Contractor), Toyota (Belgium)

 

Toyota is a Japanese owned global automotive company.

 

Implementation of Oracle Configurator for vehicle configuration. Based on marketing offers of various countries throughout Europe. Initial roll-out will be in the Nordic countries scheduled for late summer 2004.

 

Oracle Configurator expert responsible for design and implementation of Java code extensions to core product.

NICE Systems are a global company producing hi-tech recording and storage systems.

 

Implementation of Oracle Configurator for Israel and UK as part of corporate move from hybrid IT systems to Oracle standard.  The goal for the UK is to replace existing configuration software.

1998-2003       Senior Consultant, Oracle Corporation (UK, EMEA)

 

Oracle is the world’s largest supplier of relational database technology and a market leading business applications provider.

 

Initially employed by Concentra a software house specialising in product configuration software. Solutions developed against a standard database schema design, supported by several database technologies (Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, IBM DB2, Oracle). User interfaces built in Visual Basic using ODBC to communicate to the databases.

 

Oracle Corporation acquired Concentra in January 1999. Configuration software is now integrated into the Oracle Applications suite. Consultancy role subsequently involved Oracle Configurator and supporting applications implementations for customers all over Europe. Customisations or extensions to the core software implemented using a variety of tools and languages (Java, JavaScript, HTML, XML, Visual Basic, PL/SQL)
